Top 5 Favorite Highlighters

Whether it be a natural glow or a fun pop of colorful shimmer, making my face gleam and glow is the part I love most about applying makeup. Simple natural highlighters complement any look and add back that healthy glow that some foundations cover up. And a simple, neutral look can easily be taken to another level with a fun color highlighter.

There is a highlight color for everyone especially the fun colors–they work on everyone. For paler people like myself a silvery white or peachy highlight will work better and deeper golden colors will work best on darker skin. I love the look of golden highlighters, but unfortunately most of them end up looking like a dark sparkly stripe on my face. Oh well, on to the list!

  1. Marshmallow from the ABH Sweets Glow Kit— a pearl with a gold reflectfile_002
  2. Star from the ABH Moonchild Glow Kit— a silvery platinumimg_5567
  3. Summer from the ABH Sundipped Glow Kit — a sand color with a white gold shineimg_5570
  4. Ice Cold Skin Frost from JSC— a silvery whitefile_000
  5. Purple Horseshoe from the ABH Moonchild Glow Kit— purple with a blue reflectfile_003

I clearly love ABH Glow Kits, sorry that 4/5 on this list are in a palette. If you want to only get one glow kit I think the Sweets has a good mixture of natural and more fun colors that are good for everyday use. Personally, the Moonchild is my favorite. I love the packaging and all the colors inside–none of them are too dark for me. Meanwhile with the Sundipped half of the shades are too dark for me, and Taffy from the Sweets needs to be layered over top Marshmallow or some other lighter shade.

I love all of these highlighters, they’re very pigmented. Do you use any of these? Tell me in the comments your favorites and give me suggestions of highlighters you think I’d like.

xoxo, Syd♥

Oh, p.s. I included links to where to get the palettes too (they’re not affiliate links)
